Moufy was born in the Domican Republic to a teen-aged mother, and his father pretty much drifted in and of both their lives. What has shaped him into the person he is now and what has helped him bridge the gap between suburban and urban America is growing up in Roxbury, MA and the different experiences he had while living there and attending private school.
In an interview with XXL Magazine where he was featured as a Hip-Hop artist in The Break section of the magazine, talked about some of his memorable moments so far as an artist and stated

My standout records and/or moments have been: Being the main Boston artist at the Boston Urban Music Festival in front of 50k people, getting my song Boston Lights played at a Patriots game, doing a song with David Ortiz and selling out a 600 person venue in Boston. That’s damn impressive in my opinion. I’m definitely digging Boston Lights. He truly reps his city, and you can feel his love/hate for the city in his lyrics and I’m always a big fan of anyone repping the city in which their from. Moufy is paying respect on this one!
His plan to is to change the game of Hip-hop by breaking down the barrier between Urban and Suburban America through his music. Moufy would like to work with artist like Jay-Z, Eminem, Fabolous, Jadakiss, 50 Cent, and Kanye West in the future.
This kid can flow and I’m really feeling the meaning behind his work and he my stamp approval, and I’m hoping you’re feeling him like I am. Become a member of Star Gang(His crew) by liking the Facebook page, spreading the word and helping Moufy make it to the top!
