This talented young lady from Chattanooga, TN doesn’t want to be considered just a singer. Calling myself a singer limits me. I’m a performer. I can sing, dance, and I can rap says Miranda Brooke. Miranda discovered music at an early age. When she was four she was already mimicking songs that she would hear on the radio. Growing up she was a big fan of TLC, Xscape, Aaliyah, and Missy Elliot. In school Miranda would perform whenever and wherever she could: in church, in her school choir, and even at local events.
Miranda Brooke has parlayed her talent into a record deal with Def Jam Records where is surrounded wonderful producers and songwriters like Jermaine Dupri, Sean Garrett, Sham, and Bryan Michael Cox who together can take credit for many of the last twenty years of pop, R&B, and hip-hop hits.
Her first single Hater which I think is a very bold song as a first single shows off the nice range she has. Brook says it’s a song about ugly feelings. Its about jealousy, weakness and insecurity, but its honest. I think it’s a song that people will be able to relate to. She also stated that she wants her music to be about things that young people her age go through and she just wants her music to be real.
Hopefully we will be hearing more of Miranda Brooke so we can really see what kind of singing chops she has. Unfortunately R&B singers are a dime a dozen, and only time will tell if Miranda will make it big.
