Early this morning legendary Oakland rapper Too Short was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol and for drug possession. According to TMZ, around 3am police near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas in Los Angeles arrested the artist. He was booked for both a DUI and for felony drug charges.
According to reports the 46 year old whose government name is Todd Shaw tried to flee the scene on foot when the cops started to administer a Breathalyzer exam. He failed escape when he fell down into the street. Too Short’s blood alcohol level was 0.09, which is just over the 0.08 legal limit in the state of California.
This isn’t the first time the controversial rapper has had a run in with the law. Short Dog was arrested and charged in 2010 with three counts of misdemeanor battery for getting into a scuffle in an Idaho nightclub with security guards. Also back in 2009 he was arrested in Las Vegas for a Dui and for marijuana possession.
