By now I think most of you have heard about the alleged squabble between Ray J and Fabulous this past weekend in Las Vegas, NV. Ray J says their was a fight and Fab says it’s a lie. Well ladies and gents last night 50 cent phoned in to New York City’s Hot 97 radio station on Monday night giving a first hand account of this past weekend’s incident involving the two artists that ended with Ray J getting escorted out of the Palms Hotel by security.
When I first heard about the incident there had been two separate radio interviews one by Ray J followed by Fab on how the situation went down with each story fairing completely different than the other. You had Ray claiming that he socked Fabulous backstage after confronting the rapper about some previous jokes while Fab says he was never touched. 50, a bystander throughout the entire event set the record straight on the incident in an interview.
50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather both headed to the Palms after Floyd’s fight on Saturday for a show that was featuring Jadakiss and Styles P along with Fabulous.
50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather took their celebratory spirit to the Palms to support rappers Jadakiss and Stlyes P who were sharing a bill with Fabulous. After the LOX set, they made a beeline backstage of the venue to hang out with Jadakiss and Styles , and according to 50, after a few words with Jadakiss , Fab appeared in the same corridor with Ray J close by when the singer immediately approached the rapper.
“Ray J taps Fab on the shoulders and says ‘I told you my peoples wasn’t going to be happy about that’ ” 50 said of Ray J. “And Fab is looking at him like he’s crazy cause he looking at me, ’cause Fab was saying wassup to me. He said ‘Whoa, you lost your mind?’ ” 50 recalled Fab warning Ray J after the singer began to get testy and started putting his hand on him.
Sharing similarities with Fabulous’ story, 50 Cent also confirmed that Fabulous was never hit by Ray J.
“If he would have got punched in the face, Flex, Fab wouldn’t have went onstage with no glasses” 50 stated in the interview. 50 Cent does say that Ray J did swing at him but it didn’t connect.”
So there you have it. A swing, and a miss. Unfortunately there was no head butting like the fight that went on prior to this little scuffle, and not for nothing Fabulous can definitely take Ray J in a fight any day–In my opinion. Thanks 50 for getting the truth out there!
