Born and raised in my hometown Brooklyn New York is where this Latina fashionista hails from, and has been setting her own trends for some time now. Yanni D has turned the streets of NYC into her own personal runway. Yanni never had anything just fall into her lap, and had to work very hard to get to where she is at. Yanni D has had to struggle, and has a lot of setbacks in trying to take her interest in fashion interest to the next level, but faith, drive and determination has helped her get to where she is now. Yanni D prayed and prayed that one day she would make it to Bryant Park’s Fashion Week, and she sure did.
Yanni D graduated with a BA from an accredited 4 year institution, and from there went to the Fashion Institute of Technology(FIT) for a two year program in fashion styling, and since then has worked backstage for several runway shows during NYC fashion week and designer presentations. Yanni D has worked with up and coming creative’s in all aspects of the industry from photographers to models and she hope to continue to do that and then some! Fashion is her passion which she sees as a beautiful form of art that she can create through pieces.
Yanni D stands by the late Coco Chanel’s motto “Fashion fades, but style remains the same.” Creating a work of art through clothes is not only inspirational, but rewarding. What she likes to do is take I like to take the trends that have been provided for our society and think out of the box with it. Now that she is an up and coming stylist she can take her personal style and illustrate it in various ways. Here are a couple of her styles, and I know I would personally let her style me any day of the week. I definitely know Yanni will definitely be styling for the big Celebes in the game real soon.
