Reports have indicated that last weekend in Australia Miami rap artist Flo Rida arrived late to the festival he was playing at , was turned away from the venue not being able to perform, and on top of everything In the same night had his hotel raided by the police.
Flo Rida was suppose to appear at Newcastle’s Fat As Butter festival in Australia but was not able to perform because he had arrived late, and was not in a suitable condition to perform according to Promoters. It said that that the promoters were very upset about the incident, and upset that they had to play Flo Rida months in advance to even do the show.
The promoters took to Facebook, and stated The club did everything in its power to meet the needs of Flo Rida and his management. From the demands for late specialty items in his dressing room, to offering to pay all transport expenses to get him and his entourage to the venue (after his own arrangements supposedly fell through) Many promises were made and broken by Flo Rida and his management last night. And every time we got our hopes up that he was in transit to the venue, we would find out that he had not in fact left his hotel room. The most difficult part was then turning him away from the Club when he finally arrived nearly 3 hours after he was due on stage. We did not believe he was in a suitable condition to perform.
Flo responded to his fans about being absent from the festival and said that it had been due to unforeseen circumstances. According to Australian police Flo Rida’s personal assistant Dakari Dalawn Phillips had been arrested after the rapper’s room was raided, but was later released. Allegedly detectives had raided the room after the smell of marijuana was detected.
According to Faster Louder (via ONTD), officers found several items in his room including cannabis, a Viagra tablet, and an Uzi taser. Hmmmm¦.Interesting is all I can say. Seems like Flo Rida may have been too high to perform last weekend in Australia. What do you think?
